Creamy cheese and fresh vegetables wrapped in savory ham slices

# What you need:

→ Meats

01 - 8 slices deli ham (preferably nitrate-free, approximately 7 oz)

→ Dairy

02 - 4 oz cream cheese, softened
03 - 2 oz shredded cheddar cheese

→ Vegetables & Aromatics

04 - 1 small cucumber, julienned
05 - 1 medium red bell pepper, julienned
06 - 2 tablespoons green onions, finely sliced

→ Seasonings

07 - 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
08 - 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
09 - Salt and black pepper to taste

# How to make it:

01 - Combine cream cheese, cheddar cheese, green onions, Dijon mustard, garlic powder, salt, and pepper in a medium bowl. Mix until completely smooth and well incorporated.
02 - Arrange ham slices on a clean, flat surface, ensuring they are fully unfolded and ready for filling.
03 - Spread approximately 1 tablespoon of the cheese mixture evenly across each ham slice, covering the surface completely.
04 - Place a few strips of cucumber and bell pepper along one short edge of each prepared ham slice.
05 - Starting from the edge with the vegetables, roll each ham slice tightly to secure the filling inside.
06 - Place roll ups seam-side down on a serving plate. Slice in half for bite-sized pieces if preferred. Serve immediately or refrigerate for 30 minutes for firmer texture.

# Expert tips:

01 -
  • They come together in literally fifteen minutes start to finish
  • The crunch of fresh vegetables makes every bite interesting
  • Nobody has to know you barely lifted a finger
02 -
  • The roll ups hold their shape much better if you chill them for at least thirty minutes before serving
  • Do not overfill them or the vegetables will poke through the ham and make a mess
03 -
  • Pat your vegetables dry with paper towels before rolling to prevent soggy roll ups
  • If your ham slices are very thin, layer two slices together before adding the filling
